Wolves are unbeaten in their last seven league games against Ipswich (W2 D5), keeping a clean sheet in their last five. The last time they faced was in the 2017-18 Championship, with Wolves winning both games 1-0.

This is the first ever Premier League meeting between Wolves and Ipswich. The Tractor Boys have won six of the last seven top-flight games between the sides (L1), most recently a 3-0 away win in April 1984.

Ipswich Town have won just one of their last 16 away league games against Wolves (D9 L6), picking up a 2-0 victory in the Championship in December 2012.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have shipped 34 home goals in 16 games the Premier League in 2024, with Leeds in 2022 the last team to concede more (35). The last time they conceded more home league goals in a year was in 2012 (47 in 23 games), which is the only other year in their history in which they’ve conceded at a rate of 2+ goals per game at Molineux.

No side has dropped more points from winning positions in the Premier League this season than Ipswich Town (15), while only Brentford (4) have lost more games when scoring first than the Tractor Boys (3).

Ipswich Town have lost their last three league games, their second run of three defeats in a row this season having never lost consecutive games under Kieran McKenna before this campaign. The Tractor Boys last suffered four defeats in a row in March 2020 in League One.

Ipswich’s record this season for wins (1), draws (6), defeats (8) and goals scored (14) is the exact same as they had after 15 games in their last Premier League season in 2001-02, going on to finish 18th.

Excluding penalties, Wolves have conceded a league-high 15 goals from set piece situations this season – only in their relegation campaigns of 2003-04 (20) and 2011-12 (18) have they conceded more such goals in a single Premier League season.

Jørgen Strand Larsen has been involved in six goals in seven home Premier League appearances for Wolves (5 goals, 1 assist). He is yet to end on the winning side in any home game when he’s scored (D1 L3) with only Dougie Freedman (six games) and Vitaly Janelt (five) scoring in more home games without winning in Premier League history.

Conor Chaplin scored his first ever Premier League goal in Ipswich’s 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on MD15. Across the last three seasons, Chaplin has scored 40 league goals – 19 more than any other Tractor Boys player.
