Bastia – Guingamp: the summary of the match
League 2 (16th day). – Guingamp: 3-1

Stoppage for Guingamp. On a series of two consecutive victories in Ligue 2, En Avant fell to Furiani on Friday, at the end of a too incomplete performance against a team which nevertheless remained in ten matches without success. Not sufficiently in the rhythm, too disunited and lacking aggressiveness, the Guingampais suffered more than they mastered this part. Like their two starts, they were punished for their inconsistency.

For a long time, moreover, during this first period, the Bretons seemed to be missing their crampons. Like this missed pass from Nair, which forced Riou to intervene (4') or that from Hemia which Rodrigues exploited very poorly (15'), they multiplied the technical faults and offered real cartridges to their opponents. Leaving too much space between the lines, Sylvain Ripoll's men also struggled to exert effective pressure and establish rhythm.

Picard had nevertheless reacted

In the end, we had to wait until the hour mark to see them finally come out and enter their match. Picard was the first architect of this recovery when he rushed down the left and was narrowly caught before passing to Ghrieb (26'). It was therefore only a postponed game since after having once again gained the upper hand on Meynadier, who also came out at half-time, the former Nantais player found Siwe who converted (0-1, 32'). The No.10 from Guingamp even had the opportunity to try from afar but preferred to look for Ghrieb (44'). An advantage which, however, hardly resisted the Corsican surge upon returning from the locker room since Tomi, at the far post, equalized from a corner against a too static defense (1-1, 50').

The starts, again and again. After missing the start of the match, the Guingampais also missed out on returning from the locker room, as was already the case, sometimes, during this start of the year.

Immaturity

Too bad, because faced with the Corsicans who accelerated mainly in spurts, they very early lost the opportunity to offer themselves clearer counter-attacking opportunities. Worse, weighed down by a team block that was too fragmented, they suffered and a hand from Maronnier allowed Cissé to give his team the advantage from a penalty while Basilio, starting on the right side, seemed to have done the hard part (2-1 sp , 73'). Maggiotti's third goal, at the end of the match (3-1, 86'), logically punished the overly passive Bretons who, to Furiani, reminded Furiani despite themselves that they still lacked maturity.
