Saturday evening, a sound and light show created at the initiative of the Syndicat d’Initiative and directed by Luc Petit and his non-profit organization “Les Nocturnales” will be presented twice, at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., on the Mardasson site. On Sunday, a parade of vintage military vehicles will travel through the Grand’rue and the Latin Quarter at around 2 p.m. A parachute drop on the Mardasson site and a flight over the Grand’rue by vintage fighter planes are also planned, weather conditions permitting.
The festivities will also include a 6km evening stroll on Friday, including part in a military vehicle, various commemorative marches, exhibitions of military vehicles, religious services, guided tours of the Bois Jacques battlefield, concerts and various organized events. at the initiative of the city, the Bastogne War Museum, the Bastogne War Rooms, the Bastogne Memorial, the Bastogne Barracks, as well as the 101st Airborn Museum, the Pôle Culture and the Tourist Office.
