Due to a social movement by the SNCF this Thursday, December 12, at the call of several unions, many RER and Transilien lines will be severely disrupted.
A complicated day on public transport in the Ile-de-France region. Due to a strike at the SNCF, disruptions are expected on several RER and Transilien lines this Thursday, December 12, warns the company.
The RER D “very seriously disrupted”
Users of the RER D and the Transilien line R, in particular, will have to be patient. The SNCF anticipates “very severely disrupted” traffic for these two lines, with a sharp reduction in the number of trains in circulation.
According to Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM), only one train in three will run on average on the RER D line. In detail, two trains in five should be planned on the Creil-Corbeil and Goussainville-Melun axes, one train out of three during rush hour in the morning and evening on the Corbeil-Malesherbes axis, and no trains on the Juvisy/Corbeil via Ris and Corbeil/Melun via St Fargeau.
On line R of the Transilien, the situation looks even more complicated, with one train in five on average on the Paris-Montereau-Montargis axis and no trains on the Melun-Montereau axis.
Two out of three trains for the RER C
On the RER C and Transilien line H side, the disruptions will also be notable. The RER C will operate two out of three trains, while line H will operate with one out of two trains.
Line N will be affected by lighter disruptions, with three trains out of four during the day.
Once expected to be heavily disrupted with every second train, the RER B line will finally operate normally.
To find out detailed traffic forecasts, SNCF invites users to consult its website from 5 p.m. And in anticipation of major disruptions, it recommends that users favor teleworking and limit their travel as much as possible.
