The Colombian came off the bench once again for Aston Villa and scored the second goal of the afternoon.
Jhon Durán continues to shine in international football with Aston Villa, and this Tuesday, in the Champions League, he made his mark with a stunning long-range goal.
The English side faced RB Leipzig in the sixth round of the group stage of the Champions League.
The Colombian striker again started on the bench under Emery’s management. However, with the score tied at 1-1, he made his entrance in the 46th minute to turn the game around.
And that’s exactly what happened; in the 52nd minute, Durán received the ball in midfield and seeing the goalkeeper off his line, he fired from distance with his left foot, finding the back of the net to put them ahead 1-2. Just minutes later, he netted his second, which was unfortunately ruled out for offside.
