After almost two years and 149 shows, the Eras Tour is coming to a close on December 8. And while celebs are expected to pack the VIP tent for Taylor Swift’s final show of the tour, one person who won’t be in attendance? Travis Kelce. But before you spiral, he has a good reason!
Due to the NFL rudely not taking the Eras Tour into consideration when they put together their schedule this season, the Chiefs are playing a game against the Chargers on December 8. Not only that, it’s at 8:20 pm ET, which means Travis can’t even get the game out of the way early in the afternoon and then book it to Vancouver in time for Taylor’s show.
Bummer, but Travis has supported Taylor at a ton of Eras Tour shows over the past few months—flying in pretty much every chance he gets. And when the tight end isn’t in attendance, Taylor often gives him a shoutout. Like when she did his viral dance during the Eras Tour in Toronto back in November:
Soooo, what do Travis and Taylor have planned now that the Eras Tour is over? Well, Tay’s birthday is coming up in just a few days on December 13, and on top of that they’re rumored to be spending some quality time in New York City (where Tay has an apartment). Meanwhile, Travis still has plenty of games in the NFL season, so expect Taylor to be cheering him on from the stands.
