“C to you”: the brother of a columnist of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine soon to be prime minister?

In the Lescure family, we ask for the son… But not Pierre, Roland. While everyone is waiting for the arrival of a new Prime Minister, rumors have been rife for several days. The verdict should fall in the coming hours, Emmanuel Macron having declared that he had appointed a Prime Minister within 48 hours, when he spoke on Tuesday during a meeting with party leaders.

In the list of those who could succeed Michel Barnier, the name of François Bayrou comes up a lot. Another name has just emerged in recent hours: that of Roland Lescure.

Indeed, the deputy for French people abroad, also vice-president of the National Assembly and also Minister of Industry until last September was received at the Elysée yesterday, Wednesday December 11, according to information from our colleagues at Le Figaro.

Roland Lescure: back in government?

A name that makes the National Rally deputies cringe. Same thing in the MoDem clan. “If the president appoints Lescure, it’s a break” declared a member of the party in the columns of Le Figaro.

But Roland Lescure would have the support of macronists from the left as well as Alexis Kohler, the secretary general of the Élysée. So to be continued…

Pierre and Roland Lescure: a fraternal relationship far from the star system

Pierre and Roland Lescure are 22 years apart. The first was born in 1945 and the second in 1966. They have the same father: François Lescure, journalists at L’Humanité and French communist resistance fighter. Pierre Lescure’s mother is Paulette Baudoin, also a journalist. The chronicler of C to you therefore followed in the footsteps of his parents.

For his part, Roland Lescure is the son of a union leader at the RATP so we don’t know much. The journalist and politician also have another brother : Jean-François Lescure, known under the pseudonym Jef Kerneis, he is an author, composer, director and photographer.

But what does Pierre Lescure think of his brother as a politician? ? In 2021, the newspaper Libération discussed the relationship between the two men, well known to the general public. “He finds a lot of goodwill and a lot of conviction in him, even if he doesn’t always agree..” Despite their age difference, they have a brotherly relationship beyond the “star system” the newspaper Libé wrote at the time.
