After the vote on the motion of censure in the National Assembly, rebellious leaders are calling for the dismissal of Emmanuel Macron.

“Macron will not last three years.” After the vote on the motion of censure, bringing down Michel Barnier's government this Wednesday, December 4, voices are being raised on the left of the political spectrum, to demand the dismissal of Emmanuel Macron. Immediately after the vote, Mathilde Panot, leader of Insoumise in the National Assembly, asked “Emmanuel Macron to leave”, wishing for “early presidential elections.”

“Through the censorship of this government, Emmanuel Macron’s entire policy is being defeated,” she summarizes.

“Barnier's government has fallen. Macron can no longer govern. We are writing history and it cannot be made without the youth. To the entire young generation, go out into the streets. Macron resigns”, added LFI deputy Louis Boyard on the same network.

Voices joined by that of another rebellious leader, Éric Coquerel, who evokes two scenarios: “either Emmanuel Macron listens to reason and gives a hand to those who were in the majority in July, I believe he will not do, and therefore ultimately his resignation will be on the table”, he comments at the microphone of LCI.

If the LFI leaders are all committed to a resignation of Emmanuel Macron, the boss of the PS, Olivier Faure, believes for his part on BFMTV that this is “not a good solution”.

“Are we ready for new madness with the resignation of the head of state? I don’t believe it and I don’t think it’s very useful either,” he argued. .

A position which is not surprising. La France insoumise had filed a dismissal procedure, which had produced nothing, Europe Écologie-Les Verts, the PS and the Communist Party had been reluctant to support it. Marine Tondelier, leader of the Ecologists, for example, said she was opposed.

Marine Le Pen “does not ask for Macron's resignation”

For her part, Marine Le Pen, claiming to have “too much respect for the supreme office”, assures that she will not participate “in any enterprise, even parliamentary, of request for dismissal”. “I leave that to the carnival Ché guvaristes,” concludes the MP and president of the RN group in the Assembly, targeting her left-wing colleagues. At TF1's 20 Hours this Wednesday evening, Marine Le Pen reaffirmed that she “is not asking for the resignation of Emmanuel Macron.”

A line followed by Jordan Bardella. “We are still not asking for the resignation of the President of the Republic,” says the leader of the RN, who is awaiting “the appointment of a Prime Minister.”

Emmanuel Macron has in recent days closed the door to any possible resignation, which according to him would be “political fiction.” The Head of State must address the French on Thursday December 5 at 8 p.m.
