The DFB Cup goes into the round of 16 on Tuesday and Wednesday. While the draw on Tuesday resulted in three duels with a difference in class, the fourth game will be top-class: defending champion Bayer Leverkusen is a guest at record cup winners Bayern Munich. On Wednesday there will be RB Leipzig against Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as the traditional clash between 1. FC Köln and Hertha BSC. With Flashscore you don't miss any developments.

DFB Cup LIVE
8:35 p.m. – STATEMENTS FROM MUNICH – Xabi Alonso has never lost a game against FC Bayern as a coach. “It is a very big challenge for us“, said the Spaniard in the Sky interview. He did not want to answer questions about the tactical approach: “We'll see.”
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany believes that today it is “Details“will arrive:”The motivation is definitely very high.” The Belgian would like to make up for the loss of star striker Harry Kane as a collective: “We have quality, it has to be said.”
8:29 p.m. – VIEW TO BREMEN – Florian Kohfeldt in Bremen – that has been history since May 2021. Today the 42-year-old returns to his old home as head coach of Darmstadt 98. On the way to the Weser Stadium he said “much joy“feels,”but now the game is in the foreground.”
Kohfeldt believes in moving forward despite being an outsider: “For a second division club, we have high individual quality in the front rows.” Fraser Hornby (bruise) and Philipp Förster (illness) were out for the Lilies at short notice.
Bremen coach Ole Werner emphasized the opponent's strengths on the Sky microphone: “Darmstadt brings a lot of speed to the pitch, as well as size in the set pieces. These are two issues that we have to defend.” Jens Stage and Marco Grüll are new to the home side's starting lineup.
8:00 p.m. – LINEUPS BAYERN vs. LEVERKUSEN – Leroy Sane for Harry Kane: The 28-year-old replaces the injured top scorer at Bayern Munich in the cup clash against double winners Bayer Leverkusen.
Behind the 67-time DFB player are Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman in the attacking midfield. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka form the double six for Bayern.
As expected, goalkeeper Matej Kovar is in the starting line-up at Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The Werkself appear to be relying on a back four, with Nordi Mukiele and Piero Hincapie defending the defensive wing. Florian Wirtz probably mimes a false nine.
7:56 p.m. – FINAL WHISTLE – There is a great atmosphere on the mountain pasture, and there was a real surprise in Bielefeld: After being 2-0 down, SC Freiburg only briefly worked on their comeback. Michael Gregoritsch briefly brought Breisgauer close with a header (63rd minute). In a hectic final phase, Louis Oppie (82nd) finally made the decision. With a wonderful shot directly under the crossbar, he made the final score 3-1 in favor of Arminia.
VfB Stuttgart, on the other hand, presented themselves quite confidently. The Swabians dominated Jahn Regensburg throughout the entire game and moved into the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup with a 3-0 away win.
7:05 p.m. – BEGIN OF SECOND HALF – In Regensburg, the hitherto harmless Jahn is chasing a 2-0 deficit. SC Freiburg has to catch up with the same result in Bielefeld. Coach Julian Schuster makes two changes at halftime: Florian Müller remains injured in the dressing room, and Bundesliga goalkeeper Noah Atubolu comes on as a substitute. Vincenzo Grifo also comes in for the unfortunate Muslija.
6:50 p.m. – HALFTIME – The mountain pasture is shaking! There was a lot of talk about the magical potential of the Bielefeld Arena, but what happened here in the first 45 minutes probably exceeded all expectations. First, Arminia defender Maximilian Großer took a completely unnecessary penalty, which Freiburg's Florent Muslija, however, unmotivatedly shot into the middle and was denied by Jonas Kersken.
Afterwards, the hosts really came into their own and actually took the lead thanks to a Sunday shot from Christopher Lannert. Since Michael Gregoritsch received a shot in the arm a few minutes later, striker Julian Kania was even able to make it 2-0 for the third division team. There is a powerful surprise here.
At VfB Stuttgart, however, everything is going according to plan. Enzo Millot and Anrie Chase gave the Swabians a clear lead early on in Regensburg.
6:00 p.m – And here we go in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup. While the Freiburgers have to survive at the Bielefelder Alm, VfB Stuttgart competes at the bottom of the second division in Regensburg. You can also follow the Swabians' duel against the Upper Palatinate live in the Flashscore audio report.

5:09 p.m – The lineups are out: Ermedin Demirovic didn't make it into the starting line-up at VfB Stuttgart in the absence of numerous strike colleagues, new signing Nick Woltemade starts in his place. Cup keeper Fabian Bredlow can also start again from the start.
We have put together the lineups for the games Stuttgart against Regensburg and Bielefeld against Freiburg here for you.
5:03 p.m – Coach Sebastian Hoeneß from VfB Stuttgart does not want to underestimate their upcoming opponents Jahn Regensburg in the DFB Cup despite being favorites. “Of course we know that we have to be able to beat Regensburg, but we also know what the cup means. Therefore, we would be very ill-advised to look at the second division table for too long,” said the 42-year-old before the round of 16 duel at the bottom of the lower house. More info
4:23 p.m – The city of Bielefeld has issued an urgent warning before the cup clash against SC Freiburg. Be sure to close the garbage can lid tightly, please make easy access to rooftops difficult – and be careful with the cat flap! But not because marauding SC hooligan hordes would invade, no: brazen serial perpetrators from cheeky raccoon families have been tormenting the residents for weeks. More info
3:56 p.m – Return to old love: Florian Kohfeldt is expecting an emotional roller coaster ride before his guest appearance at his former place of work. “8:45 p.m., a knockout game in the Weserstadion – there are few places I would rather be on a Tuesday evening,” said the coach of the second division team Darmstadt 98 to the Deichstube before the round of 16 in the DFB Cup at Werder Bremen. More info
3:19 p.m – Even without superstar Harry Kane, FC Bayern Munich is considered the favorite in the cup clash against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The defending champion from the Rhineland still has a clear goal: “Win in Munich.” You can find all information about the early final in the evening in our preview. More info
2:00 p.m. – Welcome to Cup Tuesday! The first four games of the round of 16 are scheduled for today and all eyes are of course on the top game in the evening, when Bayer Leverkusen visits Bayern Munich. Werkself coach Xabi Alonso has already described the duel “like a finale”.
Not included: Harry Kane. The English star striker was injured in the first half against Borussia Dortmund at the weekend and is therefore missing from the cup.
Cup hit in Munich: FC Bayern under pressure – but without Kane
But football is also played in other cities in Bavaria. Early in the evening, second division team Jahn Regensburg welcomes runner-up VfB Stuttgart. There will be another “second division team versus first division team” in Bielefeld, where Arminia welcomes SC Freiburg. Parallel to the top game in the evening, Werder Bremen welcomes SV Darmstadt 98.
