As 2024 draws to a close, it is time to look back on a season rich in emotions for LOSC, now under the leadership of Bruno Genesio. This year marked a turning point for the Mastiffs, both collectively and individually. Through several categories, we highlight the players, moments and performances that marked this great year 2024. The one discussed in this article is the title of the goal of the year.
The Dogues Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the performances and highlights that marked the year 2024 at LOSC. From December 25 to December 31, supporters will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites in different categories, such as “Dog of the Year”, “Revelation of the Year” or “Goal of the Year”. Each fan can vote once per category, meaning every vote counts towards the most memorable players, matches and performances. The results of the votes will be revealed on January 1, 2025, to start the new year off right by paying tribute to those who marked the previous one.
Football is all about emotions, and nothing is more spectacular than a memorable goal. The “Goal of the Year” rewards the technical gesture, daring or beauty which left its mark and thrilled LOSC supporters this season.
With more than 90 goals over the year, LOSC delighted its supporters. From Edon Zhegrova's long shot against Clermont to his finish after a sublime collective action against Rennes, including the three-way game concluded by David in Nantes and Sahraoui's superb ladle for Angel Gomes against Toulouse, what was the most nice goal of the year?
