How to write Dovbyk? The Ukrainian striker has been at Roma for four months now but the spelling of his surname is still a tough nut to crack: in the match against Atalanta, the number 11 played in the second half with the wrong shirt, his hastily written surname had become Dobvik. The error was not lost on viewers and the screenshot went around the web. In the first half the former Girona player wore the “right” shirt. When he returned from the locker room in the second half, however, he had the shirt on his shoulders with two errors: the “V” and the “B” reversed and an “I” instead of the “Y”.
Purchased in the summer for 36 million, bonuses included, from Girona, Artem Dovbyk he was top scorer in the last Spanish Liga. He has so far scored 4 goals in 13 league games played with Roma but was also without goals against Atalanta. Three goals until October, then only one in the last two months. Roma have lost six of their last seven games, in their only victory, against Torino, Dovbyk wasn’t there, he had a fever. Perhaps this too may have unconsciously caused the typo: while waiting for the real Dovbyk, his fake version took the field against Atalanta.
