The municipal police of Mandelieu (Alpes-Maritimes) are now equipped with four Tesla vehicles. The City regrets that no French manufacturer responded to the call for tenders.

An American municipal police car rather than a French one. The municipal police officers of Mandelieu (Alpes-Maritimes) have been driving around in high-end electric vehicles since Monday, December 2. It's very, very intuitive. An ecological and economical choice for the town which has equipped itself with four electric cars. “We had 650 euros per month for fuel. So today we hope to divide this amount by ten”explains the city. Municipal police officers are encouraged to carry out slow recharges to preserve the quality of the batteries as much as possible.

The residents of Mandelieu are rather enthusiastic. If the town had to choose the model of the American giant owned by Elon Musk, it is because it did not really have a choice. “IOnly Tesla responded to the city's call for tenders. It's quite unfortunate. We would have been happy to have French vehicles”adds the town hall.
