If Stéphane Haussoulier, absent during the deliberations of the hearing this Tuesday morning in Beauvais, remains silent for the moment, other political figures from the Somme react to the condemnation of the president of the Somme Departmental Councilfound guilty of breach of trust, fraud and money laundering.
The left opposition group “The Sum in Common” calls on Stéphane Haussoulier to resign. “Even if this decision is subject to a legitimate appeal, it is clear to us that in these conditions Stéphane Haussoulier is no longer politically able to represent our community departmental and the Samarians and no longer has the legitimacy necessary to exercise the departmental presidency”writes the group in a press release.
Deleterious climate
In the center-right majority, cracks are also appearing. The Amiens Olivier Jardé, retains his position as councilor of the seventh canton of Amiens but announces this Tuesday that he is leaving the vice-presidency of the Departmental Council in charge of children, families and health. “For weeks, this legal affair has paralyzed the action of the community and created a deleterious climate. Faced with Stéphane Haussoulier's repeated refusal to step aside, I decided to take my responsibilities,” writes Olivier Jardé.
