As if the community of GTA 6 didn't already have enough to do with moon footage leading fans down dead ends, they're now pinning their hopes on a harmless update to a YouTube playlist that may or may not be debunked, all while coping to AI-generated images designed to trick them into believing they are leaked screenshots.
So when the official Rockstar YouTube channel receives a playlist update As the one-year anniversary of GTA 6's first trailer approaches, fans have predictably hyperventilated a bit.
But this YouTube playlist update seems to be just a part of the regular updates, or so some are saying. Rest soldiers! Or at least stay alert. Forgive the double negative, but that doesn't mean Rockstar won't reveal GTA 6 Trailer 2, eh?
Meanwhile, moderators of the 1.1 million member-strong GTA 6 subreddit (can you imagine how many members it will have when the game finally releases?!) are deleting user-generated images of GTA 6. AI that are circulating to make some believe that these are official screenshots, when in fact they are a new AI mush.
“No false or misleading AI-generated content,” the subreddit's rules state. “False leaks and misleading AI-generated content will be removed, but quality AI-generated fanart is encouraged. AI-generated content will be removed at the moderators' discretion.”
Oddly, fans are returning to Trailer 1 of GTA 6 to unearth new… information, so to speak. For example, one person counted the number of feet shown in the trailer (152, if you're wondering). Another went to the trouble of finding a formula to calculate the exact number of holes in the mesh of Lucia's cell door.
Il East remarkable that Rockstar went almost a year without following up GTA 6 Trailer 1 with any new information. With GTA 6's fall 2025 release window on PS5 and Xbox Series Maybe this week!
