VIDEO – Guest of “Buzz TV”, the M6 host is back in the culinary program alongside Cyril Lignac. He talks about epic filming, his career aspirations and his recent passion for theater.
When Jerome Anthony arrives on a show from the M6 group, good humor is never far away. This will again be the case this December with the return of “Tous en cuisine!” special holiday recipes. This program, born during the 2020 confinement, has a very particular history. “ It was a great idea to create this show while people were at home during a difficult time.says Jérôme Anthony. “ Everyone had seen this show at least once at that time and it created a bond between the public and the channel. This program is anchored in the hearts of the people.»
Accomplice as never before with Cyril Lignac, the M6 host admits to taking incredible pleasure in traveling the roads of France while his friend cooks from Paris. “ Cyril is my boyfriend and we have an exceptional relationship. We have a lot of fun doing this show even if we don't see each other much because we're never in the same place. But this year, I finally have a food truck to mark my presence. The kids called it the “yum-yum truck” and we kept the name », explains Jérôme Anthony.

Now well established in each city he passes through, the host talks about the incredible atmosphere that reigns during each trip and the chaos that he loves more than anything. “We want to show that there is an atmosphere in the cities we go to. And again, you don't see everything that happens before the air… I sing, I make them dance, I act as a room attendant, I wear ugly Christmas sweaters. Why would I deprive myself of that? TV is there to entertain people », he concludes.
Main change of the season: “Tous en cuisine” is no longer live. Above all for security issues as Jérôme Anthony confirms: “ There are a lot of people coming to see us. And despite the security service, there were excesses last year. It only takes one person for this and we want it to remain festive and not for the show to become a political forum.»

Looking back on his career and the many different programs he has hosted, Jérôme Anthony first sees it as a good way to entertain people. “ When I was a kid and I saw Drucker and Foucault, I found that they made lots of different programs with the same desire to entertain. It's true that I'm not identified with a program, but people remember that I'm sympathetic. This is neither a weakness nor a value judgment.»
Singer and showman, the M6 host confesses that he would love to participate in “Mask Singer” on TF1, despite terrible fear. “ I would be afraid that no one would recognize me and that I would end up in this costume forever! “, he says, laughing.
