Twenty-two years old, who grew up in Roma's youth sector, Edoardo Bove is a player for Fiorentina and the Under 21 national team. His great speed and physical strength allow him to play multiple roles in midfield, from winger to midfielder but also as an attacking midfielder. He is appreciated for his ability to read the game on the pitch, a characteristic that allows him to make sudden insertions forward.
Destro, 175 cm tall, is considered one of the young talents of Italian Football: with the blue shirt he went through the entire youth system: Under-16, Under-18 and Under-20 of which he was also captain, before arriving in March 2022 in Under-21. He was launched in Serie A on 9 May 2021 by Josè Mourinho, in the last ten minutes of the match Roma won 5-0 over Crotone. Since then he has won the trust of the Portuguese coach and the 'gallons' as a starter in the Giallorossi club. On 9 December 2021 he also made his debut in the Conference League in the 3-2 win against CSKA Sofia. Also appreciated by the new coach Daniele De Rossi (whom he defined as his idol as a player) he then left Roma in August 2024 – not without controversy and protests from the Giallorossi fans – to join Fiorentina on a loan with right to buy formula in favor of the Tuscan club.
Off the pitch, Bove was appreciated for his helpful character. Close to his family (his father was at the stadium in Florence during his illness) he often returns to Rome. The bond with the city is strong, where he was born on 16 May 2002 and kicked a ball for the first time in the amateur club Boreale Don Orione in the Appio-Latino district. Even now that he is in Florence he continues to follow and concretely support his former club. But he also loves Florence, his new city.
He loves studying. He graduated with a 100 from the Giovanni Paolo II Institute in Ostia and speaks three languages. Studying is part of his life. He is enrolled and studies at the Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome, where he attends a course in Economics and Management. His girlfriend, to whom he has been close for some time, is called Martina and is Roman like him. One of his best friends is the tennis player Flavio Cobolli: they both attended Roma's youth teams and then split up sportingly but remained very close to each other to the point of rooting for each other in their respective sports. Bove himself was also considered a talent in the world of tennis, attracting the attention of the Bellettieri Academy.
