Hayastan All-Armenian Fund will hold its annual fundraising event, the 27th Telethon, entitled “For You, Armenia,” tonight.
The Pan-Armenian fundraising event, which bears the slogan “For You, Armenia,” will be broadcast on both the Public Television of Armenia and the Public Television Company’s satellite to Europe and the USA.
The Fund will present the programs implemented in 2023-24, as well as the plans for 2025.
All proceeds from the “Telethon-2024” will be directed to the implementation of a number of strategic programs:
- reconstruction and construction of drinking and irrigation water systems in border communities,
- construction of new community medical centers,
- installation of solar power plants in schools, kindergartens, and community centers in border communities,
- installation of solar water heaters in the homes of socially vulnerable families in border communities,
- strengthening the business capabilities of forcibly displaced Artsakh women,
- support for cultural, especially creative initiatives of Armenian artists and annual international cultural festivals and exhibitions.
In addition to the above, two large-scale projects will be presented at the “Telethon-2024”, which will be implemented in 2025-2026. The first envisages construction of residential settlement for people injured or maimed during the 44-day war and their families in Balahovit community of Kotayk region in collaboration with the “Soldier’s Home” charity NGO. The second project envisages construction of a residential settlement for the Artsakh Cultural Heritage Center and the families of Artsakh carpet weavers in Gyumri.
