“The Voice of Germany”: Coach got a “gift” – that didn’t suit her at all

On Friday (November 29th) at prime time at 8:15 p.m. the time had finally come. Many music lovers gathered again in front of the screens with their loved ones and eagerly watched the semi-finals of the 14th season of the Sat 1 casting show “The Voice of Germany.”

All four coaches and their twelve protégés only had one goal in mind: reaching the final on December 6th. This is what they wanted to put their heart and soul into: making the audience tremble with convincing and emotional performances.

“The Voice of Germany”: Which coaches had the best cards?

The singing coaches Yvonne Catterfeld (44) and Samu Haber (48) were particularly optimistic and self-confident in advance. They brought four of their team’s talents into the semi-finals, whereas their opponents Mark Forster (41) and Tim Kamrad (27) were only allowed to marvel at two of their team members at the showdown.

If it was up to the tastes of Instagram followers, a finalist had already been chosen. It was the Fürth media management student Sebastian Zappel (25), who is part of the Yvonne team. He was able to impress with his soulful voice in many ballads and not only caused goosebumps. But what were his nerves like when things got tough? Did he manage to continue delivering top performances?

“The Voice of Germany”: Singers and performances become a minor matter

But then the singing suddenly faded into the background. It happened before the second appearance of candidate Gian Carlos Navea (24)! The actual show and the questions surrounding the competitors’ performances became a minor matter.

Yvonne Catterfeld received a green XXL package from presenter Thore Schölermann. Due to the abundance of tinsel in the box, the experienced singer did not immediately realize that there was another small gift box in the box.

The Sat.1 presenter then showed no understanding. He vehemently warned her not to clear out all the tinsel. The moderator began to rush them and got louder. In a commander-in-chief tone, he pointed his finger at her where her gift was stored in the box. He also asked her to step up her game and just not unpack it completely.

Was he in a hurry? Did you have to get the timing of the commercial break right? It remained a mystery for viewers. In any case, it was clear that this command from the German pop queen obviously didn’t taste good at all. So she immediately screwed up her face and there wasn’t much left of her previous glow.
