Argentina, Art and Flavor in Bahia Blanca: tribute from the Consulate General of Italy to Giacomo PucciniThe Consulate General of Italy in Bahia Blanca has proposed an original tribute to maestro Giacomo Puccini, as part of the centenary of his death. In the setting of La Paloma, a historic building in Bahia Blanca, a multimedia show dedicated to the personal and artistic history of maestro Puccini was organized. The prof. Enrique Caride (music expert and critic, long-time collaborator of the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires) presented, through images and video documents of the time, original traits of maestro Puccini, anecdotes linked to some of his greatest successes, from Tosca to Madama Butterfly to in Turandot. In the presence of institutional representatives and a large audience of enthusiasts, the links between Puccini and Argentina were also highlighted, with his visit to Buenos Aires. The numerous participants were able to taste a typical Italian menu with a gala dinner that accompanied the cultural event, thus connecting musical culture with the culture of Italian gastronomy, as widely underlined by the Consul General Nicola Bazzani in his introduction , highlighting how the latter is celebrated all over the world thanks to the Italian Cuisine Week in this period.(Inform)
