They are dressers, makeup artists, hairdressers and even production assistants. What do they have in common? They accuse the actor Gérard Darmon of sexist and sexual violence. According to the media Politicalseveral of them would be under 30 years old, and one would even be just of age, while the actor has just turned 76 years old.
The events took place between 2018 and today and allegedly took place on set, in dressing rooms, in the canteen or even on set.
For his part, Gérard Darmon completely denies these accusations.
One of the complainants explains having met a man “very honeyed, pressing his kisses to the corner of his mouth. In 2018, Gérard Darmon allegedly offered to come to his house and “flove.” After several refusals from the young woman, the actor allegedly told her “You're going to regret it, you're going to fall into my arms in a few weeks”, before insulting him several times. “He spoke to me extremely badly. He said to me 'hello female dog, would you rather I call you female dog or little slut?'” she comments in the columns of our colleagues. Despite filing a complaint, this trainee continues to receive insults and sees her tormentor barking at her to speak to her.
“No woman should be alone with him”
“It will focus on young women who have less ability or character to immediately impose limits,” comments another woman to whom Darmon allegedly made a “joke' heavy, gritty, and with sexual connotations”
More recently, in 2024, on the set of What do we do now? a technician would have received remarks from the actor. The latter speaks of “jokes” on his outfit, “reflections” on her tank top. “He observes my chest, my hips. He puts a hand on my lower back. I felt that my body was being watched, scrutinized,” she explains, always with Political.
Once the filming was completed, Darmon even left a note in this technician's notebook. “We didn't talk much, but I looked at you [sic] when you didn't know it. And I liked it. See you soon”, he writes, according to our colleagues.
On the set of a future film which should be released in 2025, a technician explains “that his hands were wandering and that we had to be careful.” She adds “whatno woman should be alone with him. She too would have experienced humiliating remarks and jokes of a sexist nature.
