This Thursday, November 28, the Paris criminal court will render its decision in the trial of the repeat driver who fatally mowed down Antoine Alléno, son of chef Yannick Alléno, on May 8, 2022. The death of the young man resulted in a long fight of his relatives and associations to have the offense of road homicide recognized. A legal text should see the light of day.

May 2022: Antoine Alléno dies, hit by a driver
On May 8, 2022, around 11 p.m., Antoine Alléno, son of famous chef Yannick Alléno and Isabelle Mescam-Alléno, leaves the burger restaurant “Père et fils”, which he founded with his father and where he works, located rue de Grenelle, in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. He takes the road on a scooter with Anisa, a colleague and friend, to bring the latter back to her home in the 16th arrondissement of the capital.
At the same time, a valet was attacked in front of Coya, a restaurant on rue du Bac. A drunken young man steals the keys to an Audi RS6 and seizes the vehicle before leaving at high speed, estimated at 120 km/h in a zone limited to 30 km/h. The driver hit a first vehicle, without stopping, then hit a taxi and finally Antoine Alléno's scooter, stopped at a red light on avenue Bosquet, ejecting the two passengers. The 24-year-old young man died shortly after of head trauma, Anisa was seriously injured. The driver was driving, during the impact, at a speed between 55 and 71 km/h….
