Mascherano celebrated the agreement and pledged to work hard to replicate the success of his predecessor Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino, who resigned due to personal problems.
“Leading a club like Inter Miami is an honor for me and a privilege that I want to make the most of. I was attracted by the undeniable ambitions of the organization and the infrastructure it has to support it,” expressed Mascherano. “I look forward to working with everyone at Inter Miami to help the club reach new heights and provide fans with unforgettable moments.”
The former midfielder/defender has a limited coaching career. Mascherano began his coaching journey with the Argentina U-20 national team in December 2021. Despite starting at the club level, he comes to the United States with significant support and confidence.
