Thunderstorms in a department

A department on avalanche alert
In addition, the snow cover will be very unstable in Haute-Savoie. The snow will be wet, fresh, and spontaneous snow slides may occur. At the same time, changes in temperature and weather could accelerate the melting of snow, and nearby waterways could react downstream, leading to possible flooding.
