A DHL cargo plane, coming from Germany, crashed a few kilometers from Vilnius airport, Lithuania, on Monday November 25. If it is officially an accident, Germany does not rule out external intervention.
At 5:30 a.m. on Monday, November 25, a cargo plane exploded about a kilometer from Vilnius airport, while attempting to make an emergency landing. The crash was followed by a fire. An apartment building caught fire and its residents were evacuated safely. “Through the window we saw an explosion and a cloud of fire. Like fireworks, it jumped into the sky. Everything then burned, with a lot of smoke.”says a witness.
The plane belongs to the company DHL. He was transporting packages from Leipzig, Germany. On board, four crew members, one of them, a Spanish national, died. Another is seriously injured. The cause of the accident is currently unknown, but the authorities do not exclude the possibility of a terrorist act.
