Manu Payet makes an explosive revelation about the beginnings of Star Academy
The former radio host created a surprise by revealing that he was the first media person to enter the legendary Star Academy castle.
“When I was doing radio, it was 1500 years ago, I was the first presenter, radio or TV alike, to have set foot in the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, to interview the first Star Academy promo.”he confided to Yann Barthès.
He notably spoke of his meetings with Jenifer and Jean-Pascal, before revealing a hitherto well-kept secret: “There is a room where they were hobbling, they were hiding. They made me sign a confidentiality clause at the time, I couldn't say that there was this room.”
With humor, he adds: “I come back with a crazy secret, while they were smoking cigarettes. Yes, cigarettes. It was obligatory, that, a very long time ago.”

After the success of his previous one-man show “Emmanuel“, Manu Payet returns to the stage for a highly anticipated second opus. His new show “Emmanuel 2” will take up residence at the Théâtre de La Madeleine in Paris, from November 21 to December 28, 2024. A series of performances which follows sold-out dates at the Théâtre de l'Œuvre and the Olympia.
