A fire is in progress this Monday evening at the Albatros restaurant in Palavas-les-Flots. The building is being evacuated, indicates Sdis 34.
An adjacent building was evacuated, threatened by the disaster that had been underway for almost two hours.

The floor catches fire
The fire broke out on the ground floor around 7:30 p.m., before spreading to the first of the building's three floors. Quoted by The Gazettelocal residents claim to have heard four explosions before the fire started.
Numerous fire engines are on site, as well as the gendarmerie. Reinforcements should arrive in the evening.
On the city's Facebook group, Internet users are reporting numerous noises of explosions, undoubtedly attributed to gas cylinders.
Weather conditions are not helping to contain the flames. Gusts of up to 50 km/h are blowing on the Hérault coastline this evening.
At 9:30 p.m., emergency services announced that the fire in the restaurant was under control. Unfortunately, an adjacent apartment was destroyed by the flames. It appears that the incident caused no injuries.
