Gifts, again and again. The French start to rush into the stores before Christmas. And good news, around two million French people will receive a little help from the State.

The Christmas bonus, paid on December 13, 2024, as announced by the Minister of Solidarity, varies depending on the composition of the household and the allowance received by the applicant. But, is it taxable?

What is the amount?

This year, the amount of the bonus does not change. Regardless of inflation, these are the same amounts as last year :

  • 228.68 euros for couples without children;
  • 152.45 euros for a single person;
  • 274.41 euros for a couple with a dependent child;
  • 308.72 euros for single-parent families;
  • 320.15 euros for two dependent children;
  • 370.45 euros for a single parent.

But good news, the premium is not taxable. It must not be mentioned on the annual income tax return.
