The Senegalese rifleman M’bap Senghor will never know his son, Biram Senghor, born in 1939. After fighting under the French uniform during the Second World War, he returned from Europe to join the Thiaroye military camp. He was shot there on December 1, 1944, on the orders of French officers. This massacre cost the lives of many African riflemen.
