The rugby players from dominated those from USAP this Saturday, November 23 at Ernest-Wallon (41-9), as part of the 10th day of Top 14. However, they maintain a critical eye on their performance, Image by Paul Graou.

What was said in the locker room at halftime that made your second act so different from the first?

There was a bit of frustration. We were all a little excited to play this match. In the end, in the first half, it was messy. Everyone made small mistakes. And above all, we came across some Catalans who were causing us a lot of problems. We couldn't find any continuity in our game. That's what we fixed in the second half, we won our duels, we had cleaner rucks. Behind, we could put a little more speed into the game and therefore find space.

In the end, the contract is more than fulfilled. There is victory, bonus, and maybe even the way?

The first half leaves us with a bit of a bitter taste. But of course we have to retain the energy we have put into it. Above all, we had a fairly rejuvenated team. Some were making their premiere at Ernest-Wallon. There are quite a few positives to take away.

You talk about the rejuvenated group. What did the new kids bring during the week of preparation?

We have been working very well for several years, during periods of duplication. All the young people have been training with us for a long time. It's a first for some of them tonight, but we've all been training together for a long time. There's no real surprise in their performance.

You finished the match as number 10, is that a surprise?

I didn't think I was going to stay on the field, but it makes me happy to play other positions. We have to be useful on the ground, no matter where we are. It's a pleasure to serve the team. Especially when we tried to build enthusiasm until the end, where we had stoppage time, where we tried to score one last try.
