“I couldn’t have”: Natasha St-Pier reveals why she refused to do Dancing with the Stars

This Saturday, November 23, 2024, Natasha St-Pier is the subject of a portrait in the show 50' Inside. On TF1, the singer will return in particular to her participation in Dancing with the Stars, a program in which she refused to participate ten years ago for a very particular reason.

A few months ago, Natasha St-Pier was one of the key figures of Dancing with the Stars. The one who had a big clash with Inès Reg backstage spoke in particular about one of her big complexes: her legs and more particularly her calves. Anthony Colette's former partner then revealed, after one of her performances, that she had “never shown [ses] legs”. “It’s the first time in my thirty-year career that I dare to do without pants or a long skirt,” said the winner of the 13th season of the show in which she had nevertheless refused to participate a few years ago when speaking about it in the media : “I don't like the parts in a show where we sit on a sofa and we have to confide in each other”.

But this Saturday, November 23, 2024, in her portrait broadcast in 50' Inside, Natasha St-Pier will break the armor. In an extract revealed by the channel on Instagram, the guest returns to this large physical complex: “I have always been self-conscious about my calves and to bare them I think you need a bit of maturity” says the woman who already has more than 30 years of career behind her. It was also to stifle this complex that she did not want to do Dancing with the Stars ten years ago, when she was offered: “I couldn't have done Dancing with the Stars at that time because I didn't have the maturity to take on everything you have to take on to do it well.”

Then, in front of the cameras, Natasha St-Pier also remembers being very “timidity” : “Sometimes I say: 'If I have red hair it's because it takes up the space I don't dare to take'” A woman who is gradually starting to love herself at 43, even if the road remains long: “I am a normal woman, the third week of my cycle I feel ugly but overall it’s not at all the same as before”. A very beautiful, guilt-free testimony.
