Ligue 2. EA Guingamp – SC: 3-0

How did you experience this great success?

The two halves were different. With a context that we had not yet explored. But, even ten against eleven, I found us very calm, mature in the game.

Isn't the first half your best since the beginning?

She was very good, with control, consistency and regularity. The players were in movement, spontaneity, fluidity. They were relatively fair technically, with the desire to play together. What pleases me and what we can remember is this collective face, both in the game and in the desire to make the effort together. Playing with ten players for a whole half is a long time but we didn't give up. I also liked the second half, these virtues are also essential to get through a championship.

What allowed ten of you to hold on and even score?

For a quarter of an hour, it floated, of course. It took us a little time to regain our senses, find positions. We had to go down the block, for example, which we didn't do right away. But we found a certain compactness and there were sequences of mastery. We managed to get the ball out, keep it, create danger and even score.

There are better teams than Guingamp in this Ligue 2. But when the planets align, it's still pleasant to watch, right?

Above all, I want it to be effective, to score points. Afterwards, when we take pleasure in doing what we do, we will seek the efforts more naturally and everyone gets along. Now, in the championship, we still have six points to get (against and ) before the Christmas holidays. This is our challenge.

You have had a third success in a row at home. How much do you like this statistic?

I like this idea, that we are masters at home, that the supporters are proud of our attitudes, our behavior, of what we try to do. There are nights when it doesn't work, it's true, but we must always have this desire to give the maximum and respect our playing principles. I think that's what we do overall. since the start of the season. But we need to be even more constant and regular, that’s our goal.

What did you think of Albin Demouchy's Ligue 2 debut, called up after the expulsion of Sohaib Nair?

He was told to be as calm as he was determined. He is a boy who we do not discover even if he benefits from a few defections to his position (central defender). We were able to see his qualities during preparation and during training. He did what he knows how to do brilliantly. The whole team encouraged him enormously. We are also happy for him. It's an important moment for a young player to play his first professional match.

The beautiful premiere of Albin Demouchy
“I was quite surprised to return (after Nair's expulsion, 48'), I hadn't gone to warm up, but I made the most of the moment. I tried to put everything I had into it. It went well, so much the better. I had already made benches in my former clubs, whether Quevilly- or . But I've been waiting for this professional debut for a long time, at least four years. Two and a half years ago, I had the Crusaders, I was without a club. A year and a half ago, I injured my knee again. Last year, I was a supervisor at the Metz training center, while continuing to play football. Today, I find myself there. It's a bit of a strange destiny, but I'm proud of it. Even if it’s just a match.”
