A test match between and New Zealand always promises a great spectacle. The viewers were not mistaken. According to the Médiamétrie site, 7.27 million supporters followed the rugby match broadcast on TF 1. This represents 37.9% of the entire public watching television. And they had it in their favor because, at the end of the suspense, the Blues were able to reverse the course of the confrontation, despite its poor start, and triumph over the All Blacks (30-29). For comparison, there were 4.5 million fans watching the France-Japan match (52-12) broadcast last week.

Obviously (very) far behind, France 3 honorably saves its second place with “Meurtres à ”. This rebroadcast episode, with Joyce Bibring and Grégoire Bonnet, still intrigued 3.22 million fans, or 16.4% audience share (PDA). During its first appearance on television, this regional thriller attracted 4.7 million curious viewers for a 20.8% market share.

For its part, France 2 offered the “Starmania” anniversary concert, captured this summer in Quebec. 1.86 million music lovers (10.1% PDA) sang, along with around fifteen French and Quebec artists, from Fabienne Thibault to Garou, including Diane Tell, Patrick Bruel and Élodie Frégé, the most great hits of the musical created forty-five years ago.

Earlier in the day, 1.33 million people (9.8% PDA) were passionate about the 22nd edition of Junior Eurovision, which was held in Madrid (Spain) and where the Frenchman Titouan obtained a nice 4th place with its title “Comme ci comme ça”.
