Bayern Munich – FC Augsburg
Friday, 8:30 p.m. / DAZN
The league leaders, who are still unbeaten this season, will face Augsburg without a win in eight away games. If they win, it would be Bayern's second-best record after eleven match days, only in 2012 they had 30 points. They recently won this duel four times, and their record in Munich is almost flawless (11-1-1). There was never a 0-0 draw in the Bayern derby. The Munich team are unbeaten in eight games on Friday and are already securely leading the Bundesliga for the 860th time. Leon Goretzka can play again.
VfB Stuttgart – VfL Bochum
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. / Sky
VfB has been unbeaten in Stuttgart since May 29, 1987 (2:4) and 21 games against VfL, Bochum has only won four times there. Poor prospects for the bottom team, who have never waited longer for their first win of the season and have always conceded goals in 26 games – a club record. Most recently the score was against VfB – at home in January (1-0) – and new coach Dieter Hecking has a positive VfB record (12-5-10).
TSG Hoffenheim – RB Leipzig
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. / Sky
Almost three years ago (November 20th, 2021), TSG last won against RB (2-0), and there was only one point from the following five duels. RB coach Marco Rose is six games unbeaten against Hoffenheim, who are hoping for their first win after a coaching change since 2020. Christian Ilzer's two predecessors started with defeats. After three goalless games, TSG is now in danger of breaking a club record.
VfL Wolfsburg – Union Berlin
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. / Sky
There was no away win in the Bundesliga in this duel. In Wolfsburg (4-1-0), Union was only granted one point in 2023 (1:1), with a maximum of three goals scored there. The Wolves are still winless at home (six games) and are approaching the club record (eight). Union have only won two of the last 20 away games, coach Bo Svensson recently lost three times against VfL with 0:11 goals (with Mainz).
Borussia Dortmund – SC Freiburg
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. / Sky
BVB is masterful in its own stadium, having won the last nine competitive games in Dortmund. There were also almost only wins against SC at home (20-3-1), most recently six with 20:2 goals. Freiburg is three games without a win and has to reckon with its 1,300th Bundesliga goal; one BVB goal is enough. If they still win, they will push Fortuna Düsseldorf out of 18th place in the all-time table.
Bayer Leverkusen – 1. FC Heidenheim
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. / Sky
The first league games last year both went to the champions (4:1 and 2:1), who are currently only draw champions – while Heidenheim has the fewest points shared with BVB (one). Bayer is without a win in three games for the first time since May 2023, TSG is already waiting five games for three points and has to fear that the club record from March will be broken.
Eintracht Frankfurt – Werder Bremen
Saturday, 6.30 p.m. / Sky
The Hessians go into the game with a chance of second place (if RB doesn't win beforehand), which would be the best of the season. They celebrated their most wins (38) against Werder and are unbeaten in four games. They want to stay that way so that they don't become the first Bundesliga team to suffer their 700th defeat. Werder have already won three times away from home, only Bayern have more wins.
Holstein Kiel – Mainz 05
Sunday, 3:30 p.m. / DAZN
There will be a league game premiere on Sunday, these clubs don't even know each other from the 2nd league. In the two cup duels in 2011 and 2017, everyone won once. KSV has the most home defeats, Mainz has been unbeaten away from home since March 9th and would set a club record with the ninth game in a row. But FSV has problems with Bundesliga debutants, and it couldn't beat the last four.
Mönchengladbach – FC St. Pauli
Sunday, 5:30 p.m. / DAZN
Borussia has something to make up for against the Kiez-Kicker: they have been waiting for a win for four duels, and at home for five. The wall was still standing during the last home win: 4-1 on August 15, 1989. The home record is only balanced (2-4-2). However, she is currently looking back on three home wins – the last time she had more was in 2019/20. The promoted team records all of its goals and victories away from home and fears its 500th goal conceded in the Bundesliga (three missing).
