– The new pricing comes into force on January 2, 2025: order your badges for the Liberty + pass!
Are you going to pay less for transport in Île-de-France in 2025? It is likely not since prices will increase overall. If the future price of the Navigo pass has not yet been revealed (it should be around 88.80 euros), the new price offer which will come into force on January 2, 2025 changes a lot of things. As already mentioned CapitalÎle-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) sets up a single ticket at 2.50 euros in order to travel with the metro, the RER and the Transilien, regardless of the destination or the distance traveled.
At the same time, a new Navigo day pass unique will see the light of day, sold at the price of 12 eurosor 10.60 euros less than before. But to make the most savings, you must subscribe to the Liberté + pass. He too will see his price increase since it is displayed today at 1.73 euros per journey. On January 2, the price will increase to 1,99 euro (for metros, RER and trains) as well as 1.60 euros (for buses and trams). The other change is that the Liberté + pass will allow you to travel anywhere in Île-de-France and connections with buses or trams are free.
Navigo Pass: who are the big winners from the new pricing?
From 10 days to 3 weeks to receive the badge
As recalled The Parisianthis formula is interesting if you make up to 20 journeys per month. Beyond that, it is better to subscribe to the Navigo month pass. This Liberté + package has a major advantage: you no longer have to recharge, you pay at the end of the month for the journeys you have made. Until then, according to our colleagues, 540,000 users were tempted by the formula, but with the new prices, demand should be stronger. However, you need a pass and IDFM strongly recommends that you order it in the coming days if you want to be able to benefit from it by January 1st.
Because, if in fact, sending the badge takes approximately ten daysthe delay may climb to three weeks in the event of a peak in demand, indicates IDFM at Parisian. For users who already had a Navigo badge (monthly or annual), it is also possible to reuse it. Just “update it at a point of sale or on an RATP or Transilien SNCF machine”once your subscription has been made, confirms IDFM.
Navigo Pass: process, package and price

To register, nothing could be simpler. On the Île-de-France Mobilités website, you create an Île-de-France Mobilités Connect profile, indicate your bank details, then provide a photo. Please note, 8 euros administrative fees are retained. As there is no monthly cap on this pass, it is therefore possible to upgrade to a monthly package, which is possible on the different transport applications: RATP, SNCF Connect and IDF Mobilités.
To have the Liberté + package on a smartphone, however, you will have to wait until spring 2025. Apart from these new features, a billet unique at a price of 13 euros will be set up for airportsas well as a pass Visite also at a single price of 29.90 euros, all areas combined.
