The First Lady and the radio host have indeed been friends for a long time. The busy schedule of Brigitte Macron, who is otherwise authoritarian with the staff of the Elysée, has however not affected their relationship and the latter continue to see each other “often and simply” as Bernard Montiel told Télé 2 Semaines.
Their meeting dates back 12 years when Emmanuel Macron was not yet head of state. “They were still unknown to the public. It was in 2012, Emmanuel was deputy secretary general of the cabinet of President François Hollande. We became friends. I like them very much. When I'm with Brigitte in her office and Emmanuel walks by, she looks at him like a groupie! And he caresses her cheek tenderly. They are so fusional. It's very touching”he continued to our colleagues.
Brigitte Macron would be imbued with delicacy
Today, however, it is indeed under close protection that the two friends meet again. “Two bodyguards accompany him”reveals Bernard Montiel before continuing: “We meet in small restaurants. She loves local cuisine, like veal blanquette”.
According to him, Emmanuel Macron's wife has many unsuspected qualities, one of which he particularly appreciates: “What I like in others is delicacy. Brigitte Macron has this for example”he revealed this time in an interview with Gala magazine.

While Brigitte Macron has already been the subject of a terrible rumor according to which she is in reality a man named Jean-Michel Trogneux, other people certify that Bernard Montiel would call the wife of the President of the Republic “once or twice a day”.
