Vladimir Putin also said he would not rule out striking countries whose weapons are used by Ukraine in Russia.
Holding responsible the Westerners who authorized the use of American and European missiles on Russian soil, Vladimir Putin declared this Thursday, November 21 that the conflict had taken on “a global character”.
“From the moment (these missiles were fired at Russia), and as we had repeatedly emphasized (beforehand), the conflict provoked by the West in Ukraine took on the elements of a (conflict ) of a global nature”, said the Russian president, affirming however that the Western missile strikes fired by Ukraine towards Russian territory had failed.

He also affirmed, addressing the nation via a televised address, that Moscow does not rule out striking countries whose weapons are used by Ukraine in Russia.
“We consider ourselves within our rights to use our weapons against the military installations of countries that authorize the use of their weapons against our installations. And in the event of an escalation of aggressive actions, we will respond equally strongly,” he declared in a surprise speech to the nation.
The master of the Kremlin added that Russia was “ready” for all scenarios in the conflict with the West and Ukraine. “We have always been ready, and we still are, to resolve all problems by peaceful means, but we are also ready to face any developments,” he assured.
“If anyone still doubts it, it's useless. There will always be an answer,” he warned.
Last Sunday, Washington officially authorized kyiv to use its long-range ATACMS missiles to strike Russian territory.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry and British media, British missiles of the same type, called Storm Shadow, were also used. Which Keir Starmer's government has neither confirmed nor denied.
