Around 2,100 EDF customers remain without electricity this Thursday, November 21. Among them, “1,300 due to major incidents on the main network”, specifies the electricity supplier in a press release.
On Wednesday, Corsica was placed on orange “wind” alert by Météo France services. Violent winds which affected all regions of the island (Corte, Bastia, Ajaccio) and more particularly the Far South in the evening.
“Our teams are fully mobilized for a recovery as quickly as possible, ensures EDF, but the situation remains delicate with a new alert for violent winds planned for this evening.” The day before, up to 3,500 customers were deprived of electricity across the island.
If Météo France services have downgraded wind vigilance to yellow for Thursday, a return to orange is expected from 11 p.m.
