Basket Landes, Tango Bourges Basket – and Beretta Famila Schio with Janelle Salaün – are the last clubs to reach the second round of the women's Euroleague after winning the victories necessary for their qualification on the fifth day. The trio joins the six other clubs who had already reserved their place previously.
After having a 14-point lead, Basket Landes snatched victory against Perfumerias Avenida (59-58). German national team wing Luisa Geiselsoder had 15 points and 8 rebounds, and Mousdandy Djaldi-Tabdi added 12 points and 6 rebounds. On the Spanish side, it was the former Landaise Laura Gil who was the best performer in scoring with 13 points.
Meanwhile, Le Tango Bourges Basket easily defeated Olympiakos, 82-62 with 17 points from Amy Okonkwo.
A great evening for French Basketball, completed by the victory of Villeneuve d'Ascq, who dominated Polkowice 100-83. Carla Leite showed all her class with 24 points, while veteran Kelsey Bone scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.
