The cryptocurrency Bitcoin has reached a new record: the price rose above the $95,000 mark for the first time on Thursday. In early trading on the Asian stock exchanges, the cryptocurrency reached a record of 95,004 dollars, after which the price fell again to 94,463. Observers expect Bitcoin to soon reach the $100,000 mark.

On the day of the US presidential election at the beginning of the month, one Bitcoin cost less than $70,000. After Trump’s election victory on November 5th, the price rose significantly. During the election campaign, the future president announced that he would relax the regulation of cryptocurrencies and make the USA the global center “for crypto and Bitcoin”.

Trump is distancing himself from the government of outgoing US President Joe Biden, which supports the regulation of cryptocurrencies. They enable digital payment transactions without being controlled by banks.
