Venice, 20 November 2024 – The snow is comingeven at low altitude, on the Veneto: for tomorrow Thursday 21 November and for the first few hours of Friday 22 Modest rainfall is expected in the mountains up to the pre-Alpine valley floors. A couple of centimetres – until cinque – it will affect the hilly areas, the foothill areas (especially the more closed ones), the hills and the valley bottoms.
But perhaps for a whitening of the plains it will be necessary to wait any longer: the forecasts speak of predominantly rain precipitationat most with snow at times or mixed snow rain in the innermost areas. No accumulations are expected.
Given the meteorological situation expected in the regional territory, the decentralized functional center of the Veneto Region declared the state of alert for snowfallto be reconfigured, at a local level, in the pre-alarm or alarm operational phase depending on the intensity of the phenomena from 4.00 pm tomorrow to 6.00 am for the pre-Alpine valleys, the foothills and the hilly areas.
In the next few hours A decrease in cloud cover is expected, except in the south-eastern sectors of the plain, where irregular clouds will persist and there will be the possibility of some weak and isolated rain in the late afternoon or evening. At altitude, the winds will be strong from the north, with possible episodes of Foehn in some valley bottoms, also extending locally to the Pedemontana. In the plains, i winds will be moderate and coming from the west, at times strong, with a temporary rotation towards the north in the afternoon. The temperature maximums are expected decreasing or at most stationary.
