Nadal and Paris, a beautiful love story
Despite the rain in the Parisian night, nearly three hours of screenings were organized in front of the Eiffel Tower, an iconic place for Nadal, used to posing in front of the Iron Lady with the Musketeers' Cup in his hands. During the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the Majorcan collected the Olympic flame from the hands of Zinédine Zidane before boarding a boat alongside Serena Williams, Carl Lewis and Nadia Comaneci.
In 19 appearances at Roland-Garros, the Spaniard holds an impressive record of 112 victories for four defeats (96.55%) since his first victory in 2005. Beaten by Alexander Zverev in the first round this year, Nadal left his garden for good during the Olympic Games last summer, after a defeat against Novak Djokovic in the singles in the second round, and in the doubles quarter-final with his young heir Carlos Alcaraz.
