The 75-year-old man pleaded guilty Tuesday at the Laval courthouse to one count of sexual contact with a minor under 14 years old. The acts were committed between 2000 and 2004. Alain Boissonneault was then a friend of the victim’s family.
The pedophile paid a lot of attention to the little girl. At 8 years old, she accompanied him to the creamery and to several activities. She even followed him to his workplace, at -, where she was able to meet his “favorite artists” thanks to the accused. According to our archives, the accused was involved at the time in the Union of Technicians and Artisans of the French Network.
According to the factual framework presented to the Court, Alain Boissonneault attacked the little girl on two occasions. The first time, the pedophile put his hand on the child’s genitals. On the second occasion, the victim’s mother caught him in the act. He was kneeling next to the child performing cunnilingus on him.
However, the mother obviously did not report him to the police. A few days later, Alain Boissonneault even returned to apologize to the child. Then, in 2023, the victim, now an adult, filed a complaint against her attacker. She had kept photos from her childhood that helped her remember her age at the time.
Crown prosecutor Me Jessica Bergeron announced her intention to request a “custody sentence”. To enlighten the Court as to the profile of the accused and his risk of recidivism, Judge Simon B. Dolci ordered the preparation of a pre-sentence report with a psychosexual component.
Until then, Alain Boissonneault remains at large.
The pedophile has a long criminal record. In 2008, he was sentenced to six months in prison for sexually assaulting a child. Then, in 2010, he was sentenced to prison again for sexual contact with a minor.
His name made headlines again in 2014 following his arrest for failing to comply with a court order. He then found a job in a hobby shop, even though he was forbidden to be around children. He was ultimately sentenced to 30 days in prison on weekends in 2015.
He is defended by Me Catherine Paré-Gascon.
