Trailing by two goals, the Bleuets snatch a draw against Germany

As against Italy last Friday, the French Espoirs obtained a courageous draw (2-2) against Germany after being led 2-0 on Tuesday in Valenciennes in a friendly preparation match for Euro 2025. Dominated by a large margin part of the match, the Bleuets scored a draw in stoppage time with a strike from Lazio striker Loum Tchaouna (90th + 3), on an action started by Lyonnais Rayan Cherki.

For this last outing of the year, the selection largely reworked by Gérald Baticle suffered the assaults of the young Germans undefeated for twelve matches and June 2023, who broke away at the start of each period thanks to a double from the Dortmund striker Alexander Beier (5th, 50th). The Bleuets, more enterprising after the restart, reduced the score on a penalty converted by Bayern Munich player Mathys Tel (62nd) before pushing and being rewarded in the final moments.

Baticle's troops have raised their heads

Deprived of many major players but led by Ryan Cherki, the France team had already won a very encouraging draw in Italy (2-2) on Friday in Empoli.
