Who is it addressed to?
The Christmas bonus is intended for low-income households, who received the active solidarity income (RSA), the specific solidarity allowance (ASS) or the retirement equivalent allowance (AER) in November or December 2024. Since the payment is made automatically, eligible people do not have to take any steps to benefit from it.
How much will be paid to them?
According to the minister, Paul Christophe, the Christmas bonus will be identical to previous years. The allocation scale depends on the composition of the beneficiary households. Thus, a person living alone will benefit from 152.45 euros. A single parent with a child or a couple without children will receive 228.67 euros. A family of three (a single parent with two children or a couple with one child) will get 274.41 euros. A family of four could receive 335.9 euros for a single parent with three dependent children or 320.15 euros for a couple with two children.
A family of five will receive 381.12 euros for a couple with three children or 396.37 euros for a single parent with four children. Finally, for families of six people, the amount of the check will be 442.10 euros for couples with four children or 457.35 euros for a single parent with five children.
Above this threshold, CAF undertakes to pay 60.98 euros for each additional person.
