Who is the Christmas bonus paid to?

This exceptional aid is paid under resource conditions by the CAF, the MSA or France Travail to French or foreign people who received active solidarity income (RSA), specific solidarity allowance (ASS) or retirement equivalent allowance (AER). Beneficiaries of the disabled adult allowance (AAH), however, are excluded, because the amount of their allowance exceeds the thresholds set for this bonus.

How much is the Christmas bonus?

For all beneficiaries, the Christmas bonus amounts to a minimum of 152.45 euros. Thus, it is increased for RSA recipients if they have children, up to 617.42 euros for a single parent with five dependent children. A bonus of 82.32 euros is then granted for each additional child for a single person, and 60.98 euros for couples (because only one Christmas bonus can be paid per household). For ASS and AER beneficiaries, on the other hand, the amount of the premium is set at 152.45 euros, regardless of their family situation.

How to receive the Christmas bonus?

The Christmas bonus is paid automatically by the organizations responsible for its distribution: beneficiaries therefore do not have to take any action. Its amount is not taxable.
