The French adaptation of Tsukasa Hōjō's famous manga has enjoyed immense success on TF1 since its debut on November 11, 2024. The most expensive series ever produced by the channel is such a success that broadcasting will even be completely disrupted to continue to keep fans of Cat’s Eyes.
“Sisters and united, on land or in the air, meeting all challenges… Cat's Eyes! Signed Cat's Eyes! » : if you grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, you couldn't escape these anthology credits, which accompanied the animated series Cat’s Eyes. Centered on three sisters, formidable art thieves in their spare time, this Japanese gem was adapted from the famous manga by Tsukasa Hōjō.
The latter now has a new version, French this time. Cat’s Eyes thus became the most expensive series in the history of TF1, with a budget of 25 million euros. A huge investment which seems rather profitable since the fiction with Camille Lou, Constance Labbé and Claire Romain, broadcast since November 11, 2024, is already breaking audience records. A success which motivated TF1 to completely modify the broadcast schedule for the series.
Cat’s Eyes stronger than Love is in the meadow
If the three sisters of Cat’s Eyes are renowned for their thieving talents, they can now add a new string to their bow: offering very good audiences to TF1. On November 11, 2024, when the first two episodes were broadcast, more than 5 million spectators followed the adventures of Tamara, Sylia and Alexia.
On November 18, there were again nearly 4 million in front of their TV for episodes 3 and 4, ahead of season 19 of Love is in the meadowon M6. An immense popularity which motivated TF1 to disrupt the broadcast schedule planned for Cat’s Eyes.
When will the next episodes of Cat’s Eyes on TF1?
Originally, TF1 was to continue to broadcast its episodes with two new chapters, every Monday evening. But given the success, the channel decided to prolong the suspense a little. After two new new episodes, scheduled for November 25, you will need a little patience to discover the rest. From December 2, only one episode will be broadcast, each Monday evening, until December 9, for the grand finale of season 1.
Note that TF1 is not about to let go of its golden goose since two other seasons are already on the program, according to Télé 7 Jours: the three main actresses had thus signed for new episodes, even before the premiere diffusion.
And for those nostalgic for the original animated series, know that TF1 has thought of you: all 73 episodes are available for free on their streaming platform.
