“I have decided to run for mayor of Paris. I want to be mayor of Paris because I passionately love this city”said Tuesday, November 19 on franceinfo, the Paris deputy Emmanuel Grégoire, the day after the announcement of his candidacy in an interview in the newspaper Le Parisien-Today in France.
“It has been a commitment of heart and life for more than 25 years, notably alongside Bertrand Delanoë and Anne Hidalgo”. For this reason, Emmanuel Grégoire “will submit” his candidacy for the vote of Parisian socialist activists. “I hope to have their support,” he wishes. “I warned Anne Hidalgo of this decision, and she did not respond to my message”adds Emmanuel Grégoire.
“I know what I can bring to Parisians : be a mayor of reconciliation, taking care of everyday life. Then, I want to continue the major transformations of the city to prepare Paris for the challenges of tomorrow and fight against inequalities. Finally, I want to reconcile Parisians, to calm this city. I'm ready”declares the former first deputy of Anne Hidalgo.
