From Joachim to Eva. In the Swiss daily Blick, former French MP Joachim Son-Forget announced this Monday that he had changed his gender and name in the civil registry, now identifying as a woman.
“It wasn't easy to choose, but I like Eva, a reference to Eve, created from a rib of Adam. She immediately did stupid things,” explains Eva Son-Forget, who recently had her gender change recognized by the Geneva administration through a simple declaration to the civil registry.
“This statutory change is very important to me. When your transition is recognized by others, it becomes reality. “It’s no longer a hidden secret,” says this parent of three children aged 17, 9 and 5. The latter “must have understood” his recent change, explains Eva Son-Forget. “Last Saturday, I warned the little ones so that they could defend themselves at school. I explained to them that it didn't change anything for them. That it was simply a continuation of my usual behavior. »
The ex-Macronist, once a Zemmourist, was elected by French people living abroad between 2017 and 2022, and lives in Switzerland. A trained radiologist, Eva Son-Forget has made her reputation in the media through mocking and controversial outings on social networks. It was notably she who relayed – and amplified – a link to an article revealing an embarrassing sexual video of Benjamin Griveaux, then a candidate for municipal elections in Paris.
In 2022, Franco-Switzerland and Kosovo also made headlines by traveling to Ukraine by car, a few weeks after the outbreak of the conflict opposing it to Russia. This summer, Eva Son-Forget was also arrested in Paris for refusing to comply and driving under the influence of cocaine.
In the process, the former elected official had been “forcibly hospitalized in Geneva”, and had fled the region to avoid two internment measures ordered by psychiatrists, reports the newspaper Blick. Eva Son-Forget then “started thinking” about her “sexual identity”. Her “more feminine attitude” had then “provoked the ire” of those around her “personal and professional, who decided to begin a process of compulsory psychiatrization”, “under fallacious pretexts”, she indicates.
To those who have doubts about this new announcement, Eva Son-Forget assures us: this gender transition is completely serious. “It’s a process that involves my life, that exposes me and my children. I would not speak out openly if it were not crucial for me, but especially for others, weaker than me, who cannot live their life as they dream of it. “It’s a call for tolerance and freedom to choose one’s gender identity,” she assures, saying she expects gnashing of teeth from her former Zemmourist camp, as well as from the right. .
