Tragic outcome in the Loire, the missing 19-year-old was found dead in the river
A call for witnesses was launched by the Loire gendarmerie after the disappearance of Léo Pronchery, 19, on the night of Friday 15 to Saturday 16 November 2024. The body of the young man was unfortunately found in the river, in Roanne, by the divers who were assigned to the research device, reveals BFMTV, citing the prosecution.
His death could be linked to a bad fall in the Loire, because “no element suggestive of the intervention of a third party was revealed during the investigation” for the moment, according to the Roanne public prosecutor's office, this Monday November 18, 2024. The investigation will continue, the circumstances of the young man's death remain to be confirmed.
He disappears near a nightclub
Léo had disappeared around 1:30 a.m., he was last seen near the “Club 50” nightclub in Roanne. His relatives ended up raising the alarm, and a major search effort was launched this weekend. The Loire River was quickly targeted, investigators feared a fatal fall.
The young victim lived in Villerest, a village of just over 5,000 inhabitants located near Roanne, the town of the tragedy.
