Those who brought in their geraniums and other summer plants on Saturday had a “hollow nose” with the arrival of the first real morning frosts. Climatic conditions which should spare the entire department this Monday and Tuesday, according to Météo France with temperatures in the morning ranging between 3° C (Craponne-sur-Arzon) and 7° C (Brioude). While the afternoons will be overcast (10° C maximum).
Up to -4°C in the morning
On Wednesday, the thermometer will start to drop again with – 2° C in Vernassal at first light and – 1° C in Craponne-sur-Arzon and Pradelles, while 0° C is announced in Puy-en-Velay and in Yssingeaux and 1° C in Monistrol-sur-Loire. On the other hand, the day will be sunny with cloudier periods but seasonal temperatures (7° C maximum).
The rest of the week will see a real onset of cold on Thursday and Friday, with snowflakes all day (from 0 to -4 C in the morning and no more than 3° C at midday).
On Saturday, the weather will calm down somewhat (- 1° C in the morning in Monistrol-sur-Loire, – 2° C in Yssingeaux and – 3° C in Puy-en-Velay) with the end of the snowfall and a night rather mild (up to 8° C in Brioude).
